The styling was based on a look from early in the last century and we wanted it to feel timeless with no obvious modern trappings, apart from the radio. With all of that in mind in an MTV Hi Definition digital world where even the dullest dramas on TV have incredibly slick crane and Steadicam shots I wanted to keep this as simple and spare as possible. So we kept most of it locked on a tripod with careful compositions and introduced movement and ‘release’ through the changing lights.
